All the competitors appreciated the efforts the Hughes’ family had made to make the two arenas ideal for good jumping and we received many compliments from the riders and their owners.

Joe Clayton had an excellent day winning the 1.30m Open, the 1.45m Classic and the Band C Handicap.

There were 21 starters in the 1.45m Classic and 8 went forward to the jump-off including Steven Whitaker, Matthew Boddy, Peter Murphy and Louise Whitaker over Di Boddy’s excellent and demanding course but Joe was determined to repeat his win of last year. Richard Barton achieved the only maximum in the Accumulator.
